Data Center Technician - TX

 

As a ServerHub Datacenter Technician, you will be responsible for growing all physical infrastructure for ServerHub, from our servers already implemented to new servers being deployed.

You will have the influence and opportunity to give customers insight on product decisions within the ServerHub Platform.
 

This is a full-time position based at our Dallas, TX offices. 
 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Racking, Stacking and Wiring Servers, Power Distribution Units and Switches
  • You will be a front of line agent Level 1 agent for support
  • Respond to help desk technical and product questions generated by our customers
  • Answer Basic Tickets, Emails, Phone Calls and Live Chats with our customers
  • Shipping and receiving gear to/from remote locations and vendors
  • Travel domestically and internationally to perform expansion duties
  • Adhere to our 15 Minute SLA response times, with one hour resolution/updates
  • Excellent Customer Service is key
  • Learn and Adapt to the ServerHub systems, and adapt to rapid changes 
  • Basic Troubleshooting skills for:  Linux (CentOS), Apache, MySQL and PHP
  • Work collaboratively within a team setting via face-to-face and Internal Chat
  • Help Combat Fraud and Spam on our Platform
  • Collaborate with management and team to improve the Customer Experience 
  • Communicate on current processes and assist in improvement suggestions 

Things you’ll need:

  • Strong background with technology and Linux systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about technology and Customer Support
  • Basic Understanding of IP Address Subnetting and CIDR
  • Strong identity with our brand and team culture
  • Prior experience in similar environments
  • A High School or GED equivalent, if not available 3 years work experience 
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Ability to Travel / Multitask and Lift Heavy Objects (50 lbs)
